Park Soo-heum, assistant manager of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, talked about his experience in concluding a $150,000 export contract by actively helping Taeil Industrial Company (CEO Gil-rae Cho), which had no export performance for 20 years, achieve its long-standing export dream by securing export competitiveness and finding buyers. did.
In addition, Park Seong-jin, director of the Small Business Market Promotion Corporation, shared an example of providing small business-specific funds to Gayeon Woori Clothing Co., Ltd., a small clothing manufacturer, in a situation where it urgently needed to secure new customers and operating funds due to the bankruptcy of a major customer.
Baeksan Propella, which was requested to develop a new product by an overseas company but was experiencing difficulties due to a lack of equipment and professional manpower required for design and testing, was helped by Kim Heon-woo, director of the Small and Medium Shipbuilding Research Institute, in the design and reliability tests required for new product development, as well as participation in overseas exhibitions.
Regarding this, Lee Jeong-woo, CEO of Baeksan Propella, said, “Through joint technology development, we have improved our technology and not only concluded an export contract, but also hired 12 additional production workers. The Busan Design Center, which operates a specialized support center for small businesses in the clothing field, supported the development of new products by clothing manufacturers and special sales events linked to department stores, and the Dongmyeong University Joint Equipment Utilization Center provided expensive research equipment needed for design and inspection to railway vehicle parts manufacturers.
